Thanks to a community-led proposal, this first airdrop will reward active Ethereum users of the Bitcoin.com Wallet app. And guess what? Our VERSE airdrop program is just the beginning of a broader strategy to reward our dedicated community members and drive growth within the Bitcoin.com Verse ecosystem. We’re not just stopping at airdrops — we’re also developing an in-app, quest-based rewards system. This system is designed to support and guide you on your journey from Bitcoin newcomer to power user, allowing you to tap into all the exciting opportunities in the decentralized finance world.
VERSE tokens for these airdrops and quest-based rewards will come from the 35% of the total supply dedicated to ecosystem incentives, as outlined in the Verse white paper. The voting period for this proposal ran from July 4th to July 11th, and it was great to see such active participation and discussion in our Verse Telegram and Discord groups. Holders of VERSE tokens had their say, with the weight of each vote proportional to the number of VERSE tokens they held. Here’s how it went down:

The airdrop will be managed through a decentralized application (Airdrop dApp) supported by an underlying claimer contract on the Ethereum Chain.
