An Interview With Aya De Quiroz, Founder Of Azintafy

-

Aya De Quiroz is a dynamic force in the Web3 space, blending creativity, innovation, and a bold approach to marketing as the founder of Azintafy, a guerrilla marketing and PR consultancy agency.

Aya recently hosted, spoke, and paneled at the Philippine Blockchain Week 2025 in Manila. With a background in broadcasting and now Web3, she brings an eclectic mix of experiences to her mission of revolutionizing how blockchain projects engage with audiences.

Notably, Azintafy stands out by pushing the boundaries of traditional marketing, leveraging unconventional strategies to make Web3 accessible, exciting, and relatable to both crypto natives and newcomers. Her work focuses on breaking the mold and driving creative tactics to drive mass adoption and foster genuine connections in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

That said, UseTheBitcoin got the opportunity to interview Aya De Quiroz, the Founder of Azintafy, during the recent Philippine Blockchain Week 2025 in Manila.

UTB: Can you tell us more about Azintafy?

Aya: Azintafy is a Web3 guerrilla marketing and PR consultancy agency. So, what does that mean? Everything to do with out-of-the-box stuff. You know, we’re tired of the usual Telegram groups, X kind of campaigns—let’s push some boundaries, right? Let’s do some CGI and cool, fun events like this. Let’s do different types of KOLs and make the space alive again and much more creative, just like it was before.

UTB: How does Azintafy differentiate itself from other Web3 Marketing and PR consultancy platforms or solutions in the crypto space?

Aya: Here’s the tea, I know what you are thinking—another marketing agency in the space. And that’s why I have spent an embarrassing amount of time talking to people on LinkedIn, going to several events, and really understanding what’s missing in the space. I do feel that guerrilla marketing is still not being used, or the surface hasn’t been scratched fully.

So, guerrilla marketing has not been used at all in Web3, but we’ve seen that happen with FTX as an example. But that’s a really good example of guerrilla PR absolutely working. So, I feel like we really need to nurture that kind of approach and really change the game, because it feels a bit more usual; it feels like everything is cookie-cutter. It’s time to break free and tell ourselves we deserve more than what we got today.

UTB: From your perspective, what are the most pressing issues facing the crypto industry today, and how is Azintafy positioned to address them?

Aya: I would say again, guerrilla marketing in relation to mass adoption. It’s always like, I’ve got this crazy tech, and everyone uses such jargon, and I’m like, I don’t know what that means—how does that help me and my needs and my wants as a consumer? Especially those in Web2; they don’t understand the fluff, they don’t understand the big stuff. It’s time to put it in a palatable manner, in a way that is creative, that is fun, and just simply makes sense to them. And a great way to package that—put a ribbon on top—is through guerrilla marketing, and it is truly at the core of my business and where marketing should be moving forward.

UTB: As a female founder in the male-dominated crypto space, what advice would you give to other women looking to break into this industry?

Aya: I’ve always said, stop using this narrative of men versus women—it’s just who you are. I’ve always been in “male-dominated” industries. You know, I started in sports at 17, and I was always the youngest female in every room that I was in. It just came to a point where I was like, “You know what, I’m going to just do me; I’m just going to outdo the doer.” And at the end of the day, they’re going to forget that narrative.

So, for me, it’s to really just do your thing and recognize that your allies are your allies. You could have female allies, you could also have a lot of male allies. You could have a lot of female enemies and a lot of male enemies. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter—just do your thing, and that narrative will disappear if you do your absolute best and you’re super passionate about what you’re doing. As cheesy as that sounds, but again, still very true.

UTB: Is there anything you want to share that I have not asked, but is important to cover in this interview?

Aya: I am a founder, but I’m also a little bit of this, a little bit of that. I call it the eclectic life, when you are sort of able to do several things at once. I’ve always been told to put myself in a box and to decide on one thing, and that I can’t be the best at this or that, on top of what I’m already doing. I’m a firm believer that it just does not exist. I feel like you are able to do whatever you want in different forms and different colors and different fonts, and no one is stopping you but yourself.

Ah, this sounds like a Mahatma Gandhi kind of interview, but it’s true. Again, the eclectic life—just keep collecting skills, keep collecting adventures, and your life’s going to be pretty sick, so yeah!
